Mr. Govind Dholakia, a Diamond cutting and Polishing worker left his art to follow a dream, to start manufacturing fine diamonds and lead build an empire of his own.
Manufacturing operations commences at Surat.
Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SRK) is constituted as a partnership firm with three partners, Mr. Govind Dholakia, Mr. Bhagwanji Patel and Late Mr. Virji Godhani in Surat.
Expansion of manufacturing facilities at Surat; A huge 3 story building was constructed in the heart of the Surat diamond industry by doubling the production capacity to 7.2 million stones annually.
Established another large factory equipped with latest technology such as laser machines and computer-based management systems in the heart of Surat employing 1200 craftsmen and 500 office staff members.
SRK certified as Export House by the Government of India.
Certified as 'Trading House' by Government of India.
Achieved compliance of ISO 9001:2000 certification from International Organization for Standardization.
Awarded with 'GJEPC-INDIA Year 2001-02', an award for Outstanding Exports of Cut and Polished Diamonds (non-DTC category), with a 122% increase in export turnover.
Awarded for ‘Outstanding Contribution towards Development of Diamond Industry & Social Welfare Activities’ by Southern Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industries and was received by the hands of Shri. L. K. Advani.
Set up a Jewelry manufacturing unit called Jewel Goldi, in SEEPZ, Mumbai to cater to International appetite for Jewelry Consumption.
Jewel Goldi (India), a manufacturing unit, was started in MIDC, Mumbai to cater to the growing Indian Domestic market.
Commenced operations in Hong Kong with our marketing affiliate - S. Goldi (Asia) Ltd.,to cater to the fast growing Far East market.
Awarded by GJEPC with "Solitaire Design Award" for the best jewellery design to Jewel Goldi, the prestigious jewellery affiliate of SRK at the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) 2004.
Set up 'Jewel Goldi (NY) Inc., in New York, to promote Jewelry sales in United States and provide better services to our existing clients.
Company’s Founder & Chairman, Mr. Govind Dholakia, receives the "Suryapur Ratna (Jewel of Surat) Award” from the Surat Municipal Corporation for his "Outstanding Contribution towards Development & Growth of the Trade, Business & Society".

Mr.Govind Dholakia initiated, “Matrushri Santokbaa Manav Ratna Award” and the first award was presented to Dr. Prof. Sam Pitroda, a revolutionary Scientist who plays a pivotal role in the changing and Emerging India. The award was presented by Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat Naval-Kishor Sharma.
SRK fulfilled the Founder’s Dream by Publishing the book "Diamond Education & Beyond" in English & Gujarati, spreading awareness about diamonds.
Laid foundation for the construction of New Factory unit called ‘Dream Project’ in the centre of diamond city Surat, Gujarat.
SRK posted its video on Youtube.com. The Video is an A/V presentation of the organisations operations and talks of the company’s philosophies.
SRK became a member of “DTC Accredited Business Programme”, which was initiated by Diamond Trading Company (DTC) for its clients who are very strong applicants for DTC sights but due to lack of supply they didn’t become Sightholders.
Achieved compliance of ISO 9001:2008 certification from International Organization for Standardization.
Launched online platform, ‘srkexport.com’- a diamond mine online, at the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS), Mumbai, to provide customers with Value Added service.

SAIL, the leading manufacturer of steel in cooperation with Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A), included SRK in its book ‘HR Best Practices – Manufacturing Sector in India’.
SRK launched its web services ‘srkexport.com’ in Hong Kong September Show 2009, to cater to the growing online Far-East Market.

srkexport.com was registered as a company in Hong Kong with a Tag line – ‘a diamond mine online’, to cater to the ever growing appetite of Chinese market and extend our web services in other Far-East countries.
On 13th January 2010, SRK scripted its own History by organising an Annual SRK Family function with total gathering of 20,000+ guests which was marked as a celebration of 2 of the young partner’s wedding. The function was followed with Gujarati drama and Dinner for all.
SRK, build its own Multipurpose playground, naming it as “SRK SPORTS COMPLEX”, to help organise the intra-company Cricket tournaments of SRK Group companies.
Introduced a Mobile Revolution in the diamond Industry by launching first of its kind Mobile Website - m.srkexport.com SRK Lite, a lighter and faster mobile friendly version of srkexport.com at JCK Las Vegas Show 2010.
Another Revolutionary Innovation par excellence was launched by SRK,‘Design Canvas’ an E-Diamond Jewellery Layout Design Application by Mr. Roland Lorie, CEO, IGI Worldwide at Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair 2010.

On 9th September 2011 Shree Ramkrishna Export Pvt. Ltd. (SRK)shifted to Bharat Diamond Bourse EE-6011, BKC, Bandra(E) world's largest diamond bourse having 6500+ Sq.ft.office with all ultra-modern facilities.
Achieved DTC Sightholder status on 30th March 2012.
SRK is consecutively awarded as 2nd since last 3 years by the GJEPC for its outstanding export performance and contribution in the trade for the category of Cut & Polished Diamonds for the year 2011-12.
